Walter Robinson

Walter Robinson (July 18, 1950 – ) is a prominent American artist, art critic, and publisher, sometimes associated with 1980s Picture Generation. With Edit DeAk, he founded the influential DIY Art-Rite Magazine, published from 1973 to 1978, known for its artist-designed covers and connection to post-minimalist and post-conceptualist activities. He was active in editing sections of other magazines such as Art in America and the East Village Eye, and co-founded the public access television show, Gallery Beat, as well as Artnet Magazine. Walter Robinson was President of the wide-range Collaborative Projects (a.k.a Colab) and participated in The Times Square Show.
